CD Projekt Red has released the Midwinter update for GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, which adds loads of new cards featuring.

The update comes with a new daily quest system alongside the story-driven Midwinter Hunt. Other new additions are a new deck builder and card replacement screen, and improved visuals.

“With this update we’re introducing in excess of 100 new cards on the game, a few of which with new abilities and gameplay mechanics, a regular quest system, plus a significant revamp of existing features and visuals together with a new deck builder and card replacement screen”, CD Projekt Red writes.

The deckbuilder and collection are already merged and reworked.

The matchmaking screen has received a UI overhaul.

The main menu has undergone some reorganization.

The mulligan screen have been reworked and updated.

The profile card selection screen may be reworked and updated.

Many tooltips are already changed to become more concise.

Many names are actually shortened.

The trinkets menu has been partially reworked.

The tutorial have been updated to represent the prevailing game more accurately.

Over 100 new cards were included to the game!

Many new visual effects are already put into the experience.

In various choice menus your cards should now provide a blue highlight as well as opponent’s a red highlight.

You can now search in the graveyard during choice menus.

A new play slot have been included with the game to make it easier to find out when various kinds of cards are now being played.

Combat text has long been included to the game.

Rewards for a lot of seasons are already added onto the trinkets menu.

There is a limit of 9 units per row.

Card animations have changed significantly to become proficient to adhere to when cards are Discarded, Summoned, etc.

Leaders not Spawn a reproduction of themselves. Instead, these are played like normal units.

The Holiday Keg Pack is put into the experience.

The Midwinter Hunt event has become added onto the overall game.

The Token category may be added onto the overall game. Tokens are automatically taken from the game on entering the graveyard.

The reconnect system has been added to the adventure.

Regis now Drains all boosts originating from a unit.

Avallac’h: Sage now spawns a unit through the opponent’s starting deck.

Gaunter O’Dimm’s power increased from 5 to 6.

Gaunter O’Dimm now will let you guess the strength of the charge card he’s picked to spend time playing it.

Lambert: Swordmaster’s power increased from 7 to eight.

Lambert: Swordmaster now damages all copies of your enemy unit by 4.

Ciri’s power increased from Five to six.
