Italian studio 34BigThings just transmitted an announcement announcing that Redout: Lightspeed Edition continues to be updated to support Microsoft’s Xbox One X console. Xbox One X Exclusive:
The experience has become rendered in 4K and 60fps which is actually a ~4X increase within the standard Xbox One version. This resolution can provide superior image quality on 4K TVs and also a crisper, super-sampled image on 1080p TVs.
C More than 300 fixes since the last update, going from title stability and bugfixes, to metagame calibration and balancing.
C Major performance update in most environment, with special regards for Abruzzo and Europa. This guarantees a more stable framerate and smoother gameplay for your game, specifically for Xbox One owners.
C Major updates on the dynamic resolution scaler to improve framerate in all of the conditions.
C Easter eggs, for Christmas.
For comparison, PlayStation 4 Pro still should get its 4K resolution update plus it should use checkerboard rendering to do this.
We’ve reviewed development version a few months ago and Jorge really liked it.
Redout scratches an itch I did not even realize I had created. Some might notice it to be a Wipeout knockoff, even so it seems to feel fresh without relying to way too hard . within the genre’s nostalgia factor. This can be a challenging and thrilling racer despite a lackluster multiplayer.
Redout is an effective modern revival of your racing genre we lost somewhere along the route. Die-hard racers who like high-speeds and death-defying jumps will definitely need to go here one out.
