THQ Nordic has acquired German media company Koch Media and it is gaming division Deep Silver, the Austrian publisher has announced.
The purchase was announced with the official blog post from THQ Nordic.? “THQ Nordic has entered a partnership to buy Koch Media GmbH, including, inter alia, the games developer and publisher Deep Silver with AAA-intellectual property rights for example Saints Row, Dead Island and exclusive license for Metro”, the website article reads.
According to your pr release, THQ Nordic has acquired 100 percent of the share capital in Koch Media. No restructuring or cost-saving programmes are presently being planned.

THQ Nordic thinks the fact that development studios of Deep Silver as part of THQ Nordic will successfully deliver four or five ongoing AAA game projects including Metro Exodus and also the next Volition Studio AAA release and the next Dambuster Studio AAA release, along with a quantity of other game development and publishing titles.”, says Lars Wingefors, CEO THQ Nordic

Another interesting tidbit within the official press release is the fact that THQ Nordic mentions that Saints Row and Agents of Mayhem developer Volition, acquired by Deep Silver in 2013, is working on an unannounced AAA game. Also, THQ states they will expect increased profits from “at least two additional yet-to-be announced AAA titles”, implying that a minumum of one more unannounced title is in the works.

Koch Media’s gaming division Deep Silver is responsible for publishing and co-publishing titles such as Dead Island, Homefront, Kingdom Come Deliverance, and the Metro series. Additionally, Deep Silver will probably be responsible for publishing the upcoming ?Shenmue III for the PS4 and PC.
