I don’t think anyone will probably be surprised to know that Marvel’s Spider-Man did rather well inside sales department. But we are a news site, in fact, and that falls under that umbrella, so… Marvel’s Spider-Man had been a commercial success, and Sony have released the numbers to prove it.

According to the recent corporate release by SIE, the infamous swinger was able to sell much more than 9 million copies of his namesake title. But that figure only runs from launch to November 25th. So we can only speculate about what it’s got climbed to in the time since.

But, still, it is just a very impressive tally to clock up in just ninety days, leading to numerous speculation over any time a second instalment will hit our screens and if this is the largest selling console exclusive in Sony’s history. It’s a tall ask, especially going against The Last folks Part 1 and, upcoming, Part 2, having said that i don’t think many would bet against it.

Sony also took the opportunity to announce exactly how many PlayStation 4 consoles are actually sold, worldwide, this is a collosal 91.6 000 0000 units. This became, partly helped, by way of a strong holiday period a few weeks ago – 5.6 million consoles were sold throughout 2018’s merry season.

If we combine both the facts we are able to reach concluding that, to date and roughly, One inch every ten PlayStation 4 consoles is gifted a replica of Marvels Spider-Man by its spouse. This has to be love.
